my name is high school I would like to welcome you to our 20 virtual senior awards ceremony I wish we were all together in person but unfortunately the circumstances do not allow us to do so joining me tonight is dr. Chavez before we begin I want to thank God for Shabbos for all assisting our seniors for college applications scholarship opportunities and anything else they need to take the next step in their lives I would also like to thank our magnificent teaching staff support staff all of our donors and of course are wonderful parents and students for all you've done to make it through such a challenging year doctor's office Dennis will board president neuberger School Board trustees students parents families friends and the entire Hawk family welcome to senior Awards night where we will be celebrating the class of 2021 students you work so hard to get here and I admire your resilience and strength as we move through these challenging time tonight is yours and we will be recognizing your efforts with local scholarships and departs recognition thank you to our scholar owners whose tremendous generosity is helping our students achieve their dreams to further their education or their Career Training before we get started on the celebration I want to recognize this Jesus Sanchez mrs. Lewis mrs. Cole mr. Lara mr. Nunez his mom mrs. Carroll's the James Frank Nunez scholarship for the Performing Arts was created in 2018 to honor their son James Nunez who was a Drama teacher at Union High School for over 15 years says Jim love teaching and relished in the success of his students as a teacher Jim strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where his students would feel safe to develop their talents and accomplish their goals the Nunez family had this further to say about the recipient it's our honor to have chosen you as our 2021 scholarship recipient when we read your letter we knew you were the very type of students from Jim would have loved to have we're sad you didn't have a chance to meet Jim but we trust your High School drama experience was the experience he would have wanted you to have her one of his students we hoped that what you've learned on your high school stage continue to be a positive force in your future again congratulations on your accomplishment a big congratulations to Kiana galamay on the $500 scholarship down and see me for your certificate and directions. how to claim your reward Hospital scholarship Lodi Memorial Hospital Healthcare in the greater Lodi area community and philanthropy to increase awareness and enhance our mission the foundation began awarding Scholarships in 2009 individuals are given consideration based on financial need School involvement employment citizen academic achievement and dedication and determination at least 50% of the funds are given to those pursuing a career in healthcare on behalf of Miss Carolyn Hoffman Vince director and office manager at Lodi Memorial we would like to congratulate the following Parsippany Amber woman winner of a $1,500 reward you should have already been contacted by missed half about your award congratulations regulations Amber did the Galt Sunrise Rotary scholarship call Sunrise Rotary the community service organization that has been active since 2000 it consists of community and Business Leaders for actively involved in serving the local community they are also an international organization whose support projects that just pulled over plus the eradication of polio worldwide Miss Grace Moulton secretary and treasurer for the rotary had this to say our criteria for selection included the will the rotary which is service above self all Africans demonstrated to school by their involvement in community service volunteer hours and personal commitment this year there were many applicants to Liberty Ranch it was difficult to choose but two particular student stood out this year the committee chose to avoid to very deserving students with $500 each the committee had this to say about the first recipient his application statement was impression he is very involved in community project he's also a member of the rotary interact club we wish him success in his educational goal of becoming a clinical psychologist congratulations goes out to Gideon read congratulations the committee said this about the second recipient her application at the front area for our selection process she is involved in school activities and Fallen tears in the community and we wish her success in her career. Environmental Studies congratulations Liliana Chavez Gideon and Liliana dr. Chavez me I have your award next we have the gulf Lions Club do flies go tomorrow we are here to serve for over 50 years they got Lions Club has served our community now a word from mrs. Ferguson good evening everyone and congratulations to the class 2021 my name is Margaret Ferguson and I am the 2021 Lions Club scholarship chairman Armada we are here to serve for over 50 years the Galt lions I served our community by providing glasses and hearing aids for those in need as well as helping local schools and organizations raise funds for many worthy cause year-round you will find Beltline club members serving up pancake breakfast preparing and serving dinners or assisting wherever needed in our community today we are proud to give three $500 scholarships nine $75 honorarium the very deserving seniors at Liberty Ranch High School it is always a difficult decision has demonstrated a willingness and commitment to serve the Galt community and a real awareness of the effects of climate change the need for inclusion of all individuals and the impact of the covid pandemic on community members is there a say they demonstrated what it is to serve by helping meet the needs of golf homeless community participating in gathering and delivering food to local food banks writing cards and sending letters to go seniors isolated because of covid health and our local environment to go clean up days volunteering to help special-needs students participating in and special event joining in local government and just getting back to go these students have also participated and Liberty Ranch High School clubs serving local the most trustworthy or noteworthy thing that came through all these essays is the impact serving had on the lives of these young adults and their dedication to can you need to stir in the future well done and thank you for your service are $500 recipients are Bertha Perez Mendoza Liliana Chavez and Gabriel Kuhn are $75 honorarium recipients are Brayden croson Trevor denier Jacqueline Jackson Patty Lopez Ashlyn McCormick Brenda Oradell Emily solder didn't read an Amber Walnut again thank you continued disturbing and be safe don't forget see dr. Luke's Episcopal Church scholarship Miss Holly Gilchrist had this about the winner St Luke's Episcopal Church scholarship has been funded by the church is Saint Mary's guilt which is had it which is held a Christmas bazaar folder 100 years to fund the scholarship another outreach program scholarship was began to support the youth in the St Luke's was founded in 1884 and is one of the oldest High School plans on attending Oberlin College to study psychology syrians in his family and his community service with special needs children he has learned the importance of including those with mental health issues in school and Community Act he hopes to become a psychiatrist and help these children to better understand their motion developed their personal abilities and communicate with where's the family and friends perfecting his game Eric was a loyal friend to many and will always be remembered for his fun-loving ways he had an energetic vibrant stole his family and friends will miss him smile is hard and the joint those who had the pleasure of knowing him will cherish his memory Eric when he was 19 passed away on October 7th 2008 in Lodi and I've lived in Galt since 1997 and what to repay the kindness demonstrated to the leeward a family after the passing of Aaron the Eric leeworthy Memorial Scholarship was created the scholarship Awards academic and athletic Scholarships award directly and Miss herendeen will be in touch AMD Steve Anna Ellenwood Ellenwood Community scholarship award commemorates Steve and Donna Ellenwood lifelong advocate of the community programs for children BMV offers this annual to an accomplished young adult who has positive positively impacted the community and plans to further their education Steven and Anna promoted programs to further my education and safety of our children in this year's Liberty Ranch High School recipient of $1,000 scholarship is to me she come a deer as model for affordable sustainable housing for children and gold revolutionize housing in equality or what as an applicant for this war Miss Michelle Riley Reid had this to say about the recipient I have to do make excellent speaks for itself he has over 4.1 and numerous academic honor roll he is very involved on campus is Vice President of the Mesa Club Treasurer hot Productions and an officer of Siesta Key has involved numerous Community Service events for local schools and ABC mentor his hard work and dedication are apparent in his record and his teacher recommendation this dude needs a leader who encourages and motivates others dudes to do their best both in school and in the community School record and Community involvement are remarkable but it was his essay that released at bmd our purpose statement is building for life's moments his essay exemplified our purpose he wrote about the housing any koala Ghana and his plans for affordable sustainable housing his plan is spot out solution-oriented an Innovative his dream of a solution to the housing crisis and Ghana is truly representative of many of DMVs core values of people teamwork and continuous Improvement as his letter of recommendation recommendation states that is truly evident that he has a great empathy and dedication for others we hope that he is able to attend Georgia Tech that one day is innovation and work ethic will come together to build life moments for me congratulations Denise you two may we are proud to represent you with the scholarships and I have the next bmd award and this one is a new one this year Rene do you know if Rio Memorial Memorial Scholarship honors and Senior from high school involved who is planning on pursuing a 3 year college degree was demonstrated a high level of commitment 2ffa and has made significant contributions to their High School Community this scholarship was established in memory of an Indian offer you a beloved bmd employee whose technical product knowledge Superior customer service dedication and commitment are an integral part of the BMV agriculture departments this year's recipient of our two thousand dollars scholarship is Teddy Lopez Teddy has an extraordinary academic record was CFA vice president and is a very highly decorated FF a leader including winning both novice and advanced parliamentary free procedure team Liberty Ranch FFA chapter officer and Treasurer Sacramento section if a president and he has earned his Golden State degree Teddy he is also very involved in his community and the palace Provo group leader and a volunteer from mini golf community events FFA school and Community involvement are remarkable but it was his essay that made his application stand apart Teddy wrote about urbanization in the significant the consumption of land for urban and commercial use and it's significance of the agriculture industry while offering technological and program solutions to the issue is forward-thinking and solution-oriented essay I represent is a bmd score values of teamwork and continuous Improvement Teddy also comes highly recommended by his teachers who described him as motivated selfless and reliable his incredible work ethic and integrity were mentioned set has a long-standing tradition of supporting ongoing education and Community involvement bmd Awards and scholarships to deserving children of its employee scholarships are awarded based on Act community service and citizenship this year did Ian Reed from Liberty Ranch High School is it $1,000 scholarship winner Miss Michelle Riley Reid said yes about the recipient has an excellent academic record and that continually challenged himself being one of the only students to take AP Calculus as a sophomore more than his academics he exemplifies involvement both at school and in the golf Community having leadership roles and many clubs on gas cluding presidency of three he has been involved in setting up open mic night school spirit activities and a free lending library on campus he is also involved in the community as president of the Golf Center student representative for the district advisory committee and a three-year coach for the Special Olympics as a teacher describe this dude is more than just a driven and talented person or an excellent student he is a brave leader deep concern for this is apparent in his essay where you write knowing the negative effects that social isolation can have on the mental health of teens I became president of the golf team Center organization which roles of in Mattoon socialize during the quarantine Gideon cares about mental health plans on pursuing psychology which was directly influenced by declining mental health during the quarantine we are pleased to support this as he attends over and works toward future goal of becoming a is Gabriel Menchaca congratulations Gabriel and see me for your award thank you for next we have the ray Davis Memorial Scholarship Alexis Davis has had this to say about the scholarship and the recipients read Davis was a lifetime member of the dog Community he had a passion for service that led him to build a life actually participating in community organizations such as the gods Junior wires working the golf Liberty FFA program he was blessed to have the opportunity to build lasting and meaningful relationships through business and Athletics and as established a family that loves the community just as much as he did I'm selecting the students to receive the scholarship we wanted to stay true to the spirit of Reggae is he was a simple man so the goal of the scholarship was to Simply give the awards to the students that were able to share their desire to continue their education as well as explain their opportunities to serve their Community the following students from the class of 2021 are the recipients of the ray Davis Memorial Scholarship for athletics in the amount of $1,000 Gabriel Simo Ojeda f f a in the amount of $1,000 Raven cross and in general $500 each cold and roll Taylor canelo's and it's Elsa Bala Chavez will let you know how to claim your reward congratulations and next I have the Liberty Ranch athletic boosters scholarship which Athena Buchanan will present and now a word from Miss Buchanan I am honored to represent the Liberty Ranch athletic boosters and to present this year's for $1,000 scholarships to are very accomplished student-athletes while I did not the opportunity to read all the essays myself this was left to the committee I must say they were quite impressed by each and every application the list of athletic accomplishments letters of recommendation from coaches and teachers and the what is on how participation in sports has made them a better person were wonderful for the committee to read the decision for choosing the recipients wasn't an easy one the purpose of the Liberty Ranch athletic booster club is to organize the support and enhancement of athletic programs at Liberty Ranch for all of its athletes a few of the things the volunteers of disorganization do are organized and run the snack bars order purchase special recognition Awards and t-shirts for please breaking records and earn achievements out of the ordinary they also hold insurance for fundraisers as well as accounting for team funds and until covid quarantine had held an annual 5K Hawk run that he and the scholarship thankfully through the generosity of coaches members and businesses in our community that our sponsors have through our Stadium sign program we are still able to fund the scholarships even though our friend has postponed having said all that here are the 2021 recipients for the Liberty Ranch athletic booster club the first recipient of the lrhs athletic boosters colors the 2021 goes to a female athlete who is said to be a strong leader on the field and the epitome of hard work and dedication she is an inspiration to her teammates and teachers alike she believes that playing softball has made her a better person I taught her valuable lessons for life this athlete says she has learned how to be respectful as well as a good leader to her teammates being a part of the soccer and softball programs at lrhs is what she attributes what's the most rewarding times of her life so far she played Varsity softball for Liberty Ranch all four years and played soccer her Junior and senior years as well she was voted Lincoln softball her freshman and sophomore years and had the pencil for the same last year and this year but with covid-19 fraternity was not available she has been the captain of both her softball and soccer teams she managed to participate in sports in it SFA parley Pro crew to name a few extracurricular activities outside of sports all while I'm painting a 4.0 GPA her future plans are to attend Stanislaus State to study pre-nursing while playing song father as a lawyer it's with great excitement to award Carly delbianco this $1,000 athletic booster scholarship congratulations Carly the second female athletic booster scholarship of 2021 goes to a student-athlete who is said to leave by example and to always make everyone feel like an important part of the team he is someone who sets standards and it Houston standards as well as encouraging those around her to do the same she has been praised by her teachers for her respect for academics and her contribution to the sport she plays is Ashley this is bright as to pain diligence Healthcare been considerate and ambitious and her work ethic academics and athletic ability to adapt to whatever the situation calls for it and overcome obstacles was sometimes very creative thinking as a junior she was ranked ninth in the league for her golfing ability but was not satisfied she gave much effort to practicing and improving and for the finish up her senior year moved up in ranked sixth in the league incredible she believes that participating in sports has allowed her to grow individually face challenges and overcome them with success all while becoming quite good at time management she had not played golf until freshman year with the states as being extremely frustrating and tough but she did not give up practice practice practice became her Mantra she went from being the athlete just trying something new to the athlete settings bar high for her teammates and breaking personal records as well as being in the top six female golfers in the league for future plans include majoring in Business Administration at Sac State it is safe to say so text did not come instantly for this act Lee but I have no doubt that success is in her future without further delay because your patience has been tested enough congratulations Ashley McCormick the first male athlete booster scholarship for 2021 goes to a hawk that has participated in track and cross-country all four years at Liberty Ranch he is described as intelligent self-discipline values consistent and dependable one of his coaches stated that he could always count on Ryan to meet the expectations set before him and to encourage his teammates to rise to the same expectations in other words he suffers his teammates on to Greatness his athlete has also taken exceptional pride in his academics as he will be graduating with a 4.3 GPA and is ranked number one in his class you've taken every honors and advanced placement class possible while at Liberty Ranch his understanding for mathematical Concepts and his ability to articulate his answers often challenged his teachers to recheck there and to be sure they are accurate while he could afford to cut corners on his payments by just not doing them that is simply not his way perhaps it was his dedication to his studies that spilled into his life as an athlete he feels that Athletics has pushed him to unlock his potential as a team leader and a friend participation in sports has encouraged him to be conscientious of nutrition and staying healthy but it has also its has his limits to that which he was not certain he could attain his future plans include studying at UC Davis with a major in astrophysics and a minor in quantum physics perseverance is the gray it's less than he has received their Sports and perseverance is what will drive him into a successful future congratulations Ryan Franklin you have earned your wings now store the final athletic boosters scholarship recipient for 2021 goes to a male athlete who has excelled in both academics and Athletics he has been described by his teachers as capable well-rounded and resilience he's the kind of students that may make a mistake but takes responsibility for his part grows from the mistake and moves on to better and greater actions he doesn't hide behind excuses and blaming this app it has challenged himself to take honors and AP classes played baseball his entire time at Liberty and also played baseball on his travel team that has taken him across the nation for tournaments kids learn great lessons about time now and even with all his activities would still find time to volunteer for community events and the athletic boosters by helping to stock our snack bar in the stadium on a regular basis there were times he could be seen sweating from being watching TV and yet while doing the task he was asked to complete he always had a smile on his face and seemed genuinely happy to help his varsity baseball coach had only positive things to say about this athlete find itself speaks volumes to character through Sports he has learned to complete well gain confidence as well as Phyllis sense of purpose on and off the field he is grateful to his coaches who have each taught him the mini Ladd she needed in life to be successful the inspiration of his coaches has given him the determination to overcome obstacles and Propel him in a positive direction in life in the fall of twenty that direction will be attending University Nevada Reno with an emphasis and Engineering from Hawk to Rebel we thought-provoking forward-thinking SAE project able to handle when is responsibility this dude and Embraces innovative ideas and solutions for today's issues earning three state championships in food
